Nissan has an interesting founding story dating back to 1910. In 1910, three partners named Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama, and Meitaro Takeuchi established the Kaishinsha Motorcar Works company. Over time, the company’s name evolved to Jidosha-Seizo Co. In 1934, Jidosha-Seizo Co. and Nihon Sangyo Co. Ltd. merged and took the name Ni-san. This is how the Nissan brand, as we know it today, was founded.
